Introduction and who is Aminoman Ltd

This notice explains the types of personal data we may collect when you interact with us and also explains how we handle that data and keep it safe. It is likely that we will need to update and amend this notice from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via email, but you can access this information whenever you choose to.

This notice relates to Aminoman Ltd, a UK based on-line sales company and subsidiary of Perform and Function Ltd.  For other business and services supplied by Perform and Function Ltd you may need to consult the relevant notice but for simplicity throughout this page, “we” and “us” means Aminoman Ltd.

When using the Aminoman website, Perform and Function Ltd is the data controller.

The Legal basis for collecting data and when we collect it

The law on data protection gives a number of reasons why and how a company may collect and process personal data:

To carry out a contractual obligation we have with you. For example, to deliver your online purchase we will collect your address details and pass them onto our warehouse.

Collecting personal data

We capture transaction based data when you select items, when you create an account with us and make an online purchase. Data is also collected when you engage with us. For example, on social media or leave comments and about our products; if you contact us with queries or complaints; enter our prize drawers or competitions; choose to complete a survey or fill in any forms or when you have given a third party permission to share information they hold about you. The personal data collected

When you create an account with us your name and billing/delivery address, orders and receipts, email and telephone number will be collected. Your login password is retained as an encrypted record for security. Details of when and where your transactions took place will be kept including how you used the website.

Why we collect your personal data

To tailor your shopping experience with us we try to build a picture of what you prefer by combining the data we have about you. We use this to offer you promotions, products and information that we think may be of interest to you. We know that detailed understanding of our customers helps us offer the best customer service (however, if you wish to change how we use your data you can find the ways you can do this in Your rights below but please be aware that removing some of the contact permissions may prevent processing the services you have selected). For example, to process an order made on our website we collect your data during checkout and pass these details on to our warehouse for processing the order. We retain the information for a reasonable time to fulfil any contractual obligations such as refunds, queries, complaints or when necessary share data with law enforcement agencies. We use this data to send you communications by law such as updates to this Privacy Notice, product recall notices and any further information relating to your orders. Your data is retained to administer any competitions you choose to enter and to help develop and improve the systems, products and services we provide to you by way of software or by feedback from you.

How we protect your personal data

To make sure your data is secure, access is password protected and sensitive data is encrypted. Our system is regularly updated and monitored.

How long we keep your personal data

Whenever we collect your personal data we retain it only for a reasonable duration and for purposes for which it was collected. At the end of this period your data will be deleted or alternatively anonymised for business purposes such as sales analysis.

Sharing your personal data

To carry out our business we need to share your personal data with trusted third parties such as our warehouse, couriers, IT support services, direct marketing companies that manage our mailing list to deliver the services you requested. Third parties only receive the data they need to perform the service we required and may only use the data for this contracted purpose with your data deleted or anonymised at the end of our contract with them. We will only pass your personal data to a third party for direct marketing by them if you give us your consent.

If we have to share your personal data with third party processors in countries outside the EEA we have agreements with those parties that they must follow the same standards of data protection as of that in the EEA, following applicable laws and the principles in this Privacy Notice.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you (free of charge in most cases); correction of personal data that is out of date, incomplete or incorrect; deletion of your personal data when you withdraw consent or object and when we have no legitimate interest or the reasonable duration of retention has come to an end. You have the right to withdraw consent for our use of your personal data at any time and to exercise this right please contact us on sales@aminoman.com however, there may be a short period of time whilst final administration of the services you have requested are completed before this processing can legitimately end.

Should you feel your data has not been handled correctly or you are unhappy with the way we have responded to you regarding your personal data you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office by calling 0202 123 1113 or go online to www.ico.org/concerns. For those based outside the UK, you may lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection regulator of your country of residence.

This notice is provided in English only. Should there be conflict with any  translated version, this English version shall prevail.
