What Are Senescent Cells?
Senescent (or “zombie”) cells are damaged or aged cells that no longer divide but remain metabolically active, secreting inflammatory cytokines, proteases, and growth factors — collectively called the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). I recently researched the links between positive psychology and sleep.
